JCCA Policies and Guidelines
JCCA LOGO POLICY

The JCCA club logo is registered and trademarked. Trademark includes the club name, Japanese Chin Club of America. To insure appropriate use of the logo (and club name), the following guidelines are in full force and effect, as attested below, and will remain so until changed or revoked by majority vote of the Board of Directors:

  1. Written permission from the Board of Directors, in writing, must be obtained for any use of the logo not associated with official business of the Club as set forth in Paragraph 3 below. Unauthorized use will be subject to legal action.
  2. Any request for use of the logo must be submitted, in writing, to the Secretary of the Board of Directors, who will present the request to the Board for prompt action. Requests for use of the logo sent to the Secretary must state where the logo is to be used, the purpose for use of the logo, and the length of time it will be used. The Board will consider each such request at the earliest practicable time and will authorize the Secretary to inform the person or entity making the request of the decision of the Board regarding use of the logo. The Secretary will inform the applicant of the Board's decision in writing, and the decision of the Board will be final.
  3. The logo may be used without prior consent as stated in Paragraph 2 for any official business of the JCCA, including but not limited to the use of the logo on official Club documents and communications and for purposes of preparing for and carrying out of the Club's national specialties or educational events.
  4. The logo shall not be used for personal financial gain and/or for advertisement of the business or kennel or other purpose of any individual(s).
  5. As far as use of the logo, the logo must be used in its entirety. Use of any single part of the logo (e.g., the dog) is prohibited. The logo must not be redrawn or modified in any way.
  6. The logo may be reproduced in a single color. Black is preferred, but any one color may be used.

A complete line of logo items for sale will be available on the JCCA's Café Press website. This is the only outlet for JCCA logo items unless and until these Guidelines are amended or otherwise changed.
